1st Sunday in Lent - The Choice

Jesus Christ draws us into His life in and through and with the Trinity by giving us freedom to choose a loving covenant. He offers, guides, directs, and even dies and rises to show us the length and depth of His commitment and His love.

In Genesis and Matthew, Jesus shows us how steadfast He is in loving is. As we inherit Adam's birth to reality through Eve's chosen response to un-freedom, we inherit Jesus' chosen freedom to give His life for us as I give our life for others.

In Romans, through the inheritance of Adam and Eve, our covenant was severed into freedom and un-freedom. The Divine's recreating new life with Moses was only the beginning of this ever deepening process to transform us to a covenant of union with our Lord.

In Matthew, we have a clear understanding of a discerning heart to choose freedom. In living in and from the depths of who we are, we as Jesus, will continually choose freedom. As we contemplate these Scriptures and am guided by our Divine Love, we will know the right and true choices that bring us into the deepest union with the Trinity.

As we love, we are actively selecting life. We truly become a Contemplatives in Action and live in mystery of knowing that we are doing the Divine's Will in the here and now.

Divine love is transforming us inch-by-inch day-by-day to continue Christ's mission on earth -- today.  We do this as we live from the centeredness of our being in loving covenant with the Divine. This being enables us to choose freedom by guiding others to choose this new way of living in love.

Doing the Divine Will, Jesus' Passion becomes our very breath of living.  We live our lives from freedom and choose daily to take up our cross in union with Jesus to help, support, guide, direct, and love others.
